I’ve started this website as I have somehow found the brain for getting stuff organised in my house after realising how much it actually works. Not only physical organisation, but also just keeping my mind in a good space and to just enjoy being a Mom.
I used to worry a lot about being a good Mom, or if I will grasp the “mother instinct”. I still don’t know if I’ve grasped it, but sharing my experiences and learnings, as well as learning from other Moms has allowed me to create this platform that channels my worry into something good. It allows me to show my family what a happy Mom looks like and not what a crazy Mom looks like (even though I look like that a lot).
Anyway, we are a family of 3, for now, as I am currently 5 months preggers with another boy. Yes, I will soon be surrounded by 3 testosterone driven males who will probably try their best to tell me what to do every day. The two I currently have, already try to rule me, and I’ll be honest, they do succeed, sometimes. They will probably never read this, but if they do – they will now know that I will never let that happen, more than twice a week. I now have my shit together, and I’m looking forward to showing them some massive flames!
Anyway, so as a fairly young mother (27), I have somehow latched (see what I did there) onto the whole planning your home and getting organised with lunch plans and calendar entries for school reminders and other bullshit that I thought I’d never actually do.
I’ve seen Pinterest boards with free downloads of worksheets for your toddler to keep them busy, and “how to manage your money” articles. It has always been inspiring, but I’ve never taken any actual interest in them. I am however, very lazy, very clumsy and very forgetful. Soooo, yes, I gave a bit of planning a shot. Little did I know, it worked! And still is working.
I get excited to check things off the grocery list on the wall, I looove knowing what’s for dinner, and to be honest, I feel like it has even given me extra time in the day. It may seem like you’re using more time by planning things first, but let me tell you, it has weirdly saved me so much of time! Just by taking a few minutes to fill in our dinner plans for the month at one time already saves like 30 minutes a day that I would spend searching that Tasty website for a dinner idea.
I come up with at least 3 new ways of keeping my family standing every day! The thing is, I want to inspire other Moms too, the same way I’ve inspired myself. We’re all doing our best, and it sounds pretty cool to have one place where we can all find something that could make our lives even a tiny bit easier, whether it be advice, ideas or simply reading about new things in the Mom world.
So, I hope that all the Moms who happen to find themselves here, find something they may need 🙂
Oh, and I am far from being a blog writer, or any writer for that matter. So please excuse my poor grammar and punctuation. I said that I’ve found some free time during the day, for other shit, definitely not enough for English lessons 🙂
Well, that’s me. I hope I help in some way!
