Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your kids.
Author: Lize Pretorius
I try hard as a mom. I’m not perfect, but I try to do my best for my kids. Some days are hard, I struggle with my own demons, but I make it through because I want them to be happy and know how much they are loved.
There is no such thing as a perfect parent, so just be a real one.
Self- care is very important. And it is as it says, Self-care.
Give yourself permission to care for yourself because you are worthy of your own love.
*I believe in me
*I am successful
*I am beautiful
*I choose to be happy
*I am enough
*I am strong, exited and powerful
*I allow myself to be great
*I love who I am right now
*I am a super-mom
*I am healthy
*I am strong
*I love my body
*I am confident
*I am worthy of all the blessings coming my way
And remember that:
*Tomorrow is a new day
*Making mistakes is part of life
*Saying ‘no’ is okay
*Not everyone has to like you
*Beauty and strength comes from within
*You’re amazing just the way you are
*Showing emotions is healthy and okay
*You don’t have to be perfect
*Having a bad day is okay
*Asking for help is strength
*People love and appreciate you

Take time to make your soul happy!
*I am exactly who and what my children need
*I must take care of myself so I can take care of those I love
*What other moms do has no bearing on me or my abilities
*My family loves and values me as a mother
*Motherhood is challenging for everyone and it is okay to struggle
*I am doing my best
*It’s okay to need, want and take a break from my family
*I love my children, my family and myself
*Taking time for myself is not only okay, it is necessary
*I am a good mom
*I’m doing a good job
I love my kids – I really do…. but even mommies need to recharge once in a blue moon….
The joy in motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times. But amid the challenges, there are SHINING moments of joy and satisfaction.
Enjoy the journey…
